Your Venus Flytrap requires consistent moisture and high humidity in order to thrive. If they experience periods of dry soil or low humidity, some of the leaves and traps might brown, yellow, or die off as a way to preserve energy. The plant is usually able to bounce back from a period of drought.
To get your Venus Flytrap looking its best again, follow these instructions:
Watering
Keep soil consistently moist at all times. Once the top layer feels dry, it is time to water again. Water thoroughly until it comes out of the drainage hole in the bottom of the pot, and empty excess water out of the saucer.
Humidity
A great tip to help your plant thrive is to give it a shower when watering. Take it to a sink and spray the whole plant down. This cleans the leaves and adds humidity to the plant. Other great ways to increase humidity are to use a humidifier, add a pebble tray under your plant, or mist it daily.
