Your Geo Plant loves basking in the bright morning light with far less intense sun in the afternoons. Avoid extended exposure to direct sunlight which may cause its leaves to scorch. In a space without windows, it would also thrive near a grow light.
Your Geo Plant needs water when the top inch or two of the soil volume is dry. Water slowly, allowing it to soak into the soil until it drips out of the drainage hole. Discard any excess water that accumulates in the saucer. Also, consider using distilled water as this plant is sensitive to the chemicals found in tap water.
Your Geo Plant prefers higher than average household humidity. Add a pebble tray, group plants to create a humid microclimate, or place a humidifier nearby.
Your Geo Plant’s optimal conditions include temperatures between 60-75°F. Keep away from drafts and air vents, especially during the winter months.
Feed twice a month in the spring and summer with an all-purpose fertilizer that’s diluted at half strength, or use a formula with a higher nitrogen content since this promotes healthy folliage. Do not apply fertilizer to dry soil, and do not feed your plant during the fall or winter when it goes into dormancy.
This plant is considered non-toxic and pet-friendly.
Keep the large, shiny leaves free of dust and debris by occasionally wiping them down with a soft cloth and water. The oldest leaves may yellow as the plant produces new growth. This is normal, and any yellowing leaves can be removed with clean, sharp snips.
